A big week on the live scene as always for our favourite city.

The line-up of the beast.

Wed 23rd – Iron Maiden, Rise to Remain @ Hisense Arena, $130, AA – The elder gods of metal come to rock Australia once again, this time prior to their nationwide Soundwave performances. There are still tickets left so get on it metalheads!

Thurs 24th – 28 Days, Brittle, The Ascension, While The City Sleeps @ NEXT, $20, +18 – A blast from the past as 28 Days hit up a club gig. Be sure to catch the supports, Melbourne ambient rock act The Ascension. They are an up-and-coming band born out of the break-up of The Bright Star Alliance, and believe me they have the songs, the solid line-up and the amazing melodies to break out.

The Ascension.

Fri 25th – The Omen, At War With Gods, Face Eater, Declaration @ The Arthouse, 18+. Melbourne thrashers The Omen are calling it quits, so make sure you head down and check out their last headlining show. Melbourne institution The Arthouse will be shutting their doors forever in May too, so you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t help see it out in style.

Sat 26th – Antagonist A.D, Vultures, Time Has Come @ Bang, +18. Antagonist make their way across the Tasman to brutalise our ears once again, with Melbourne hardcore regulars Vultures, as well as Brisbane’s metallic hardcore exponents Time Has Come.

Enjoy the shows punters.
